Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

Key duties include: Operating paving machines, inspecting equipment, communicating with team members, and adhering to safety regulations.  
 
  • Operating Paving Equipment: This includes starting and controlling paving machines, guiding them along forms or guidelines, and operating machine attachments. 
  • Filling and Loading:
    Filling tanks or hoppers with paving materials and ensuring a constant flow of materials into the machine. 
     
  • Monitoring and Adjusting:
    Monitoring machine settings and making adjustments to ensure accurate paving thickness and smooth surface finishes. 
     
  • Equipment Maintenance:
    Inspecting paving equipment regularly to ensure it's in proper working condition and performing basic maintenance. 
     
  • Safety Compliance:
    Adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines, including wearing appropriate safety gear and maintaining a safe work environment. 
     
  • Communication and Collaboration:
    Communicating with team members, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure project execution and addressing any issues that may arise. 
     
  • Following Project Plans:
    Adhering to project plans and blueprints to ensure accurate and efficient paving. 

Job Summary:

Our people are what makes Sipes Asphalt and Concrete so special.  We are searching for an experienced paving equipment operator.  Our Paving Equipment Operator is responsible for operating the paver ensuring the paving process is smooth, level, and meets project specifications.
