Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible to perform skilled tasks in the mechanical repair and maintenance of heavy trucks, earth moving, and related construction equipment.  Diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel-powered vehicles and equipment. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Inspects and runs diagnostics and performs repairs and scheduled maintenance on diesel/gasoline engines and other machinery
  • Handles complex and major repairs on heavy machinery such as pavers, millers, rollers, bobcats and other company vehicles.
  • Middle to advanced-level skilled Welder for all types of welding is a plus but not required.
  • Ability to perform field service calls with the highest quality and urgency in mind.
  • Maintain good communication with manager on equipment repairs and parts needed to complete repairs.
  • Ability to work in a team and willing to be trained and train others.
  • Maintain good relationships with those you work with.
  • Perform repairs at job sites as the needs arise.

Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):

  • Skilled in diesels, including, CAT and CUMMINS, Peterbilt and MACK engines.
  • Skilled with Transmissions, exhaust systems, fuel systems, drivelines, differentials, hubs, and all other components of equipment including, pavers, millers, rollers, bobcats
  • Skilled in gasoline engine repair and diagnostics.
  • Skilled in small engine repair.
  • Skilled in air/hydraulic systems.
  • Experienced working on equipment. (Skid Steers,Rollers,Pavers,etc)
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues to ensure proper functioning and safe operation.
